Scrambling is the middle ground between climbing steep rock faces (usually with ropes) and walking. It involves using your hands a lot of the time. Many people believe it's the most exciting way of getting up a mountain.

There are many scrambles that have been written up in guide books and which have an agreed grade of difficulty. For lots of good information about scrambling and scrambling grades: http://www.ukscrambles.co.uk/scrambling-grades.html Please contact me if you are interested in any mountain experience.
